It is hard to believe that we have passed the halfway point of Module 2, and with everything going on in the world around us, I can imagine the stress you are feeling as you navigate exams, papers and midterms.

If you are following the news related to the pandemic, you know that the numbers in Pennsylvania and elsewhere in the country are moving quickly in the wrong direction.  Our numbers on campus have been low in large part due to the outstanding cooperation of our students.

But right now, we need your help more than ever. After several testing periods with no new cases, this week’s tests came back with several more positive results among students. Those students are now in isolation, and we are doing the necessary contact tracing.

As we head into the final stretch of fall term, I want to remind everyone that none of us can afford to become complacent about the severity of COVID-19. In these next two weeks, as we end Module 2 and the Fall term, please remember to follow our protocols scrupulously – keep washing your hands, wearing your masks, and maintaining 6 feet for physical distancing.

You are a very impressive group, and I urge you to keep up the great work for two more weeks! Thank you for everything you are doing to keep the campus community safe, and to stay healthy. Let’s finish strong!

Sincerely,

Deb Moriarty, Ph.D.
