It was obvious to anyone who met Eric that he was a warm and compassionate person. However, as his professor, I had the pleasure of discussing with Eric his thoughts of businesses’ role in society. It was wonderful to see he understood that some of our largest and most influential organizations have a responsibility to use their power to help create positive change in the world rather than pursue narrow interests. Eric truly possessed the kind of character and conviction our society will always need.
